The Hall and the Committee

The Hall: St Hilary Village Hall is a community asset, held in trust for the benefit of St Hilary Villagers since 1939. The building had previously served as the village school and later as public reading rooms.

The Committee: The beating heart of our community hub is the Village Hall Committee! The committee is made up of appointed trustees and elected committee members. Together we are a dedicated team, united by a shared commitment to the well-being and vibrancy of our village hall. We are here for the benefit of our lovely village hall and the community it serves.

Our Mission: To ensure that the village hall continues to be a welcoming, functional, and thriving hub for all community activities. We focus on maintaining the hall’s facilities, organising events, and ensuring that it remains a space where everyone in our village can come together to celebrate, learn, and grow.

Meetings and Involvement: We meet approximately 4 times a year to discuss ongoing projects, future plans, and to address any concerns related to the village hall. These meetings are a melting pot of ideas, where each member brings their unique perspective and skills to the table. We believe in transparency and accountability, which is why we publish the minutes of each meeting below. This way, every community member can stay informed about our activities and decisions.

Join Us: The Village Hall Committee is always open to new members and ideas. If you’re passionate about contributing to our community and want to make a difference, we would love to hear from you. Your energy and ideas can help shape the future of our village hall!

Contact Us: Feel free to reach out to us for any queries, suggestions, or if you wish to join the committee. Together, we can continue to make our village hall a cornerstone of community life.

Meeting Minutes: Below, you will find the published minutes of our monthly meetings. These documents offer a detailed insight into our discussions, decisions, and the various initiatives we undertake. Stay updated and informed about your village hall’s journey!
